10 things couples forget until the week of the wedding

Love Nat For You | Toowoomba, Ipswich, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast | Celebrant, MC & Coordinator

There’s a very specific kind of stress that kicks in the week before a wedding.

The kind where suddenly everyone is asking questions at once, your inbox triples overnight, and you realise there are about twenty things nobody warned you to think about beforehand.

Because the reality is, most weddings don’t become stressful because of huge problems.

It’s usually the small details that quietly pile up at the end.

Things like:

  • Who’s collecting gifts after the reception

  • Who actually has the rings

  • The time it takes to actually steam your outfits (don’t leave this until the morning of!)

  • Who’s bringing the emergency kit (when I coordinate, I bring it for you!)

  • Whether your celebrant, MC and coordinator all have the latest run sheet

  • Ceremony Rehearsal timing

  • Family and friends photo list

  • Wet weather communication

  • Song lists

  • Vendors meals

None of these things are glamorous.

But they’re exactly the sort of details that create unnecessary stress when nobody has thought about them until the last minute.
